so, my mom was telling me about this bug called the Bombardier Beetle. its a beetle that has two little tanks on its back: one has hydrogen peroxide in it, the other, hydroquinone. when it feels that it is being threatened, the chemicals, which are harmless by themselves, begin to mix and boil inside of the beetle. once it gets to a certain point, the new chemical begins to shoot out in any direction the beetle wishes, blinding its attacker..... pretty cool huh.
