why i decided to do Day of Silence

Day of Silence is a day when people speak out (usually silently) against gay bashing and hate crimes done to someone simply because of their sexual orientation. and i support this. but let me make some things clear before you jump on my back.

first off, in NO WAY am i supporting the gay/bisexual/lesbian/transgender/pansexual lifestyle. i strongly believe (even if i was not a christian) that man and woman were meant to be together. this is especially evident in sex when the two flesh become one in a normal, comfortable, make-sense type of way. i also believe that this is the will of god because it says so in His word when he made Adam and Eve and throughout the Holy Scriptures. i also believe that the non-heterosexual lifestyle is against everything that God has designed for us to do for one another in marriage. there is evidence of this all throughout the scriptures (many point to Sodom and Gomorrah and when God talks about who will and will not inherit the Kingdom. so, to reiterate, i am in no way supporting the LIFESTYLE of non-heterosexuals.

second, I AM, however, saying that it is not man's job to punish non-heterosexuals for their lifestyle because we do not have a heaven or hell to put them in, nor do we have a Book of Life or have the Title of God Almighty. yes, God is against this lifestyle, but He will take care of it. as christians, we are suppose to spread love adn love covers a multitude of sin. also, we look at Sodom adn Gomorrah and see that God took care of it. He destoryed the cities,  not man, nor did He have man destroy them.
they are people, with a sin, just like everyone else walking on this earth. in no way am i accepting their sin.

thrid, i am taking a stand because i have a friend whose death anniversary will be celebrated on this september. it will be 4 years since he has left this earth. he was gay and he dressed up as a girl and walked around town on occasion in his dress. he was beaten up, he hemorrhaged and he died. he was only 17.
also i have a cousin who is gay. i will not put his story out, but lets just say God aint done with him yet because the devil tried to take him out before his time. though hope is lost for my friend who is already dead, i know that hope is not lost for my cousin and pray for the blinders that the devil has put on him will be taken off and that he will use his testimony for the glory of God.

so tomorrow, April 13, 2011, i will be participating in the Day of Silence, to stop abuse, and start love and pray that love will show a light that Jesus loves them and wants them to change.
tomorrow is not about me, tomorrow is about saying i am a Christian and christians are SUPPOSE to love everyone, with a love that does not judge or beat people up with words (or sugar coats things, but knows when to speak and asks God for the words). tomorrow is about stopping a fear and a hate, two things that are of the devil that are adding to the mix of chaos and stopping the flow of love, teh gospel being spread and change happening.

tomorrow, i will be preaching, but not with words. i will be preaching with my life, with my actions, which say more than my lips will ever.

if you have family members, friends, acquaintances, associates, coworkers or even enemies who are anything but heterosexual, i encourage you to not give up hope. this is not something that is permanent. people can change. watch these clips of two girls who were once a lesbians but are now set free. if God did it for them, He certainly can do it for whoever you are praying for.

Love yall and God bless
