A Movement Will Be Started....

call it emotion, call it rage, call it stupid, call it what you will, but this mess has to stop.

let me say a few things first:
so in honor of Martin Luther King, my college, just like all others (who arent haters) had some type of programming today to educate people on the types of things King would be for today and what the man did for this country. in honor of that, there is always some type of immigration awareness activity that goes on at my school. so, today, there was a documentary shown called 9500 Liberty that shows the controversy and struggles that both sides of the immigration argument had to go through. the film is by Annabel Park and Eric Byler. (i highly suggest you watch the film, whether you are for immigration or against it. it shows both sides very well, i think). the film pretty much shows how some people in Prince William County (VA) hate the fact that immigration is there because they feel some type of way about 'illegal immigrants' (they label everyone this that does not appear to be 'american', has a heavy accent, 'appears to be in american illegally', etc and so forth). also it shows the political side and how the people were trying to pass bills in VA that would give the police the right to incriminate someone if they had "plausible cause". (yeah, that works out real good, huh? anyway).

so with that documentary, along with the recent events in arizona and the bills that are being talked about in my state (yall dont need to know which one that is), i have become enrage...slightly, in a respectful way.

yes, i AM AGAINST illegal immigrants that are in america to cause problems, sell drugs, all that stuff. but if peole are over here, working hard, trying to become citizens, why tell them they cant stay. THIS AINT EVEN OUR LAND ANYWAY!!! are we native americans??? last time i checked, most of us aint. but i digress a little. anyway. i think my friends thought i was playin when i said i wanted to start writing letters, trying to help the situation in Arizona and i will definitely be working with the people in my state to fight this thing. its not a game. these are people's lives we are dealing with. if they are working hard, not performing felonious crimes, doing the jobs that most americans dont wanna do anyway, then i say, lets assist them in becoming citizens. QUIT OPPRESSING!!!

and WHY every time we talk about illegal immigrants its always about Latinos?? there are PLENTY of other races that have illegal immigrants in america. thats racist man i promise! dont get me started!

but i really am going to get letters written and send them to AZ. if you want to participate in the movement (that is not yet titled) i would really appreciate it. let me know (with a comment)

PS this is God's work. oppression is NOT hot! it is NOT the thing to do. read yo bible. it speaks on aliens, oppression all that stuff.
